The Saughton Skatepark Build   Skatepark Design

28 January 2010 Build Progress Update:
A spell of drier weather has given Clachan Construction the chance to progress the build further and further with new concrete t
o see in the skatepark everywhere you look. The most exciting progress this week is the test fitting of the coping for the over-vert corner giving a better impression of how that is going to ride. Also one of the steep flat bank ledges has been sprayed and work is starting on the curved wallride wall too. Its starting to look more like a skatepark with every week. Check back soon for more updates...

The Skatepark Layout:

The final layout for the Saughton Park site was developed by the skaters and riders in the ESP group in conjunction with architects Urban Design Futures and Dave Sowerby acting to produce the layout plans. The skatepark layout covers approximately 2100 square meters and features a mix of bowl and street features to cater for all skill levels.
