The Saughton Skatepark Build   Skatepark Design

03 December 2009 Build Progress Update:
Despite the constant rain we've been having over the last few weeks Clachan Construction are are still making great progress with the skatepark build. Much of the flat bottom and coping is now in place for the transitioned section making the teardrop and beginnings of the hipped miniramp easy to see. Features are also being added to the street section with the stepped manual pad and some of the grind ledges in place. The next couple of weeks will see a start on the over-vert corner block work and placement of the coping so check back soon to see more build progress updates as it moves forward...

The Skatepark Layout:

The final layout for the Saughton Park site was developed by the skaters and riders in the ESP group in conjunction with architects Urban Design Futures and Dave Sowerby acting to produce the layout plans. The skatepark layout covers approximately 2100 square meters and features a mix of bowl and street features to cater for all skill levels.
